For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Wider in Love through Mission and Service
The red horizontal arrow is how we represent this in our logo.  It means that church is more than about study and worship. When we study, we find that serving others is actually an act of worship.  That is what Jesus Himself has called us to do.

Volunteer Opportunities

Connection Central

You can find many volunteer opportunities at the Connection Central counter in the church. There are paper sign-up forms there for many things.

To save paper, provide you with rewards, and to keep track of things more easily, you can sign up for the same opportunities online on our Vomo (VOlnuteer MOvement) website. That button is below.

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

All of us have some way that we can volunteer. We can serve in our church many different ways.  We believe the church is its strongest when all pitch in and serve with love and the Spirit in mind and heart. Why not see the current opportunities now? You may be surprised.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

First, pray about how God will lead you in volunteering.  Pray that He will use you. Second, check either at Connection Central on Sundays or on our Vomo website. Third, show up and serve with love. We thank God for the time we will spend volunteering together!

How do I volunteer with kids?

Here at East Main, we think that kids are great little blessings. We can always use volunteers in that area to help shape the future generation. All people who volunteer with kids have to have a background check on file. We do all this through Vomo. For more information, fill out the form below.

How do I volunteer with music?

There are manyopportunities for music volunteering and technology volunteering.  Our @tOne Praise Band is one that meets most Wednesday evenings at 6:30.  If you love to sing contemporary music, play guitar, bass, drums, or keyboard (other instruments will be considered), contact Raph and let him know!

Also, if you like singing more traditional songs, special choir music, and love cantatas, you can join our choir.  It typically meets Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. We'd love to have you. If you're interested in singing and/or playing piano some times, let us know!

If you don't sing or play, you can also join in many other behind-the-scenes teams such as video, sound, and slides.  We'd love to have you!

How do I volunteer with students?

Greg Boyland, our Youth and Young Adult Pastor, would love to have more volunteers in the student (or youth) ministry.  You can help with snacks, chaperone duty, or even volunteer to drive the church van for trips. There are opportunities on Vomo.  You can also find out more information by filling out the form below.
